So one of the nice things about losing a bunch of weight is the compliments you get from people. When I started they came all the time and - after I stopped taking them the wrong way - I really enjoyed them. It's been awhile since I've had that happen though. Most of the people I socialize with these days were either not around when I was fat, or saw the change gradually.
Every now and then though, I run into somebody whom I haven't seen in a dog's age.
JMark dropped by work to see me (he wanted to let me know about Chad's condition, which I was already aware of thanks to
ersatz_marduk).
"Holy cow, you've lost about a hundred pounds."
"Just sixty, but thanks for noticing."
It's little things like that that that tell you it's time to do some catching up.
