In Trouble Again
Apr. 7th, 2007 07:50 pmGot a phone call today just before settling down to an early Easter dinner. An acquaintance asked if I had written about him and his girlfriend on my blog. I had. I had made some jokes and without context the jokes could be pretty offensive. He asked me to remove the post and I have.
To the gentles in question - no I don't really think that and if you'd like to discuss it further we can. I'm sorry that you took offense. None was intended.
I'm still not sure if he'd actually read the post in question or if he'd simply heard about it's existence. My initial knee-jerk reaction was to ask "Who told you about that". I've decided that it doesn't matter who told him. He could have easily found the post on his own, so being told about it by someone is really a moot point.
This sort of winds into an on-going conundrum - what should you leave public and what should you friend-lock? As I've mentioned earlier, I'm a let it all hang out sort of writer. My f-locked posts are probably less then 2% of my total output.
