Alice in Intel Land

So I thought I'd pop American McGee's Alice into my MacBook and give it a play. It's been a few years and I wanted to go through it again. Unfortunately, there's a bug where I can't pick up a required item (which in turns activates a door to the next level). I'm standing on the damn thing, but damned if I can grab it. Worked fine on my old iLamp (which was a Power chip) but not in my laptop (which is an Intel chip).

Looks like I'll have to wait until I get nosarious' old G3 working again.

Missed the Kodak Moment

I was stopped at a light while driving today. Ahead and to the left was another car. It was a white station wagon that was dirty even by the standards of Calgary in the winter. Some wit had written into the dirt on the back of the car:

The light changed before I could get my camera out of my pocket. Stuff like this is exactly why I wanted a camera that would fit in my pocket.
