A Nice Start to the Day

There I was, settling in at work on a bright and chilly Monday morning. My coworker N walks into my office and gives me a $20 coupon for the Sushi Restaurant she works at part time. We were at lunch on Friday discussing Japanese restaurants and comparing notes on assorted ones. I guess she wanted me to check hers out.

_grog_, it's Tokyo Garden, which looks like it's in your stomping grounds. Have you checked it out?

So anyway, that was a pleasant start to the day. I sense it will be a productive and enjoyable week.

That's my neck of the woods too... I'm still "learning" about sushi at the moment... but I haven't found anything I really dislike yet so still willing to try more!

Q, That's just down the road from me too... I haven't been to Tokyo Garden for a number of years, and the reason for that is that I was not impressed with them in the past, in terms of food quality, food quantity and service. (Come to think of it, last time I went to Tokyo Garden was with _Grog_). I used to go to Sushi Ginza in WillowPark Village, but they've also gone downhill, so my Sushi forays have headed further north in the city. (Sushi's one of those foods thats either very, very good or very, very bad... not a lot of grey area when you are dealing with raw fish).

That's right beside my office (as in - I walk out the door of my building, across the parking lot...)

Their lunch deals are fairly decent, the Sushi is "average" IMO. The only thing I don't like is that they have a tendency to add Wasabi between the rice and fish pieces - which I don't always care for.
