Sibling Tales and Garages Sales
Sep. 27th, 2006 11:24 pmBad News: My sister somehow broke one of the tables I was loaned for the garage sale (I think she forced it open, shearing off a restraining bolt that was meant to be turned to lock it open/closed). It still works, but not as well as it had.
Good News: I went to Crappy Tire to see if they carried it. Not only do they carry it, but they just had a shipment come in. Tomorrow it goes on sale. Regular price is $65. This weekend it's $40.
So I get to return the table in better condition and I get a usable table (albeit not perfect thanks to sister-dear) out of the deal.
Better News: The garage is almost cleared of debris, Claire helped me clear out the big stuff last weekend and this weekend I can finish the job. Just in time for me to park my car in the garage for when the snows hit.
Best News: My Java instructor postponed tomorrow's quiz until next week, so I can ditch class early and actually go to tavern. I'll be bringing the dregs of the Garage Sale to tavern tomorrow as a last-minute bit of fundraising.
Yay!
