Brian convinced me to go see The Day After Tomorrow. It didn't suck, but it was no great shakes either.

Once again we have a special effects spectacle that awes the senses. We also have a syrupy script with all the Rolland Emmerich cliches (After the fourth woken-up-by-an-emergency-phone-call shot I was ready to call out "enough already".

But overall I liked it. It was way better than Godzilla, but didn't have the campy fun of Independence Day. I think if you turn off your brain, like I did, you'll feel it was a decent enough two hours.

Afterword, Brian and I spent the day together and eventually we hooked up with Ryan, went to Brian's North Vancouver apartment and watched some of the un-aired episodes of Firefly (Trash and Heart of Gold which Brian had never seen). I think I got back to the Carmen & Josh's place around two in the morning.
