No, this was all me. I was walking home for lunch and the frost on the metal was so inviting. I licked with just the tip of my tongue, immediately noted my grave error and pulled away, leaving a tiny amount of flesh behind. I ran home and had tomato soup, which was both a relief and a torment.

Oh CRAP, I read that as opposite sex. Damn that dyslexia. It's been fixed.

I was at my Dad's bedside when he died. Seeing someone's last breath rattle out of them is not pleasant. On the plus side, I can see Thestrals now.

-Shot a gun? yes

When I was a kid, out on my uncles farm. He and my dad tried to teach me how to fire a gun. It didn't work too well because neither of them were very good at it. Also this was your stereotypical tin can on a fence post target. Every shot I attempted missed, but I had no idea by how much or in what direction I was missing. There was no feedback - Was it high and to the left or low and to the right - I didn't know. Just one of the many small indignities I suffered at my uncle's farm.
