thebrucie and I worked with a girl at Office Despot named Erin (I think - Bruce is this right?). Erin was reasonably competent, had the second best ass I've seen on a coworker and was quite the potty mouth. She was fun to work with.

Bruce got invited to a party Erin put on and there he met her boyfriend Paxton. Paxton was built like a brick shithouse, was dating a drop dead gorgeous girl and seemed to have it all together. In short he was the sort of guy that us mere mortals hated instantly.

Or rather, we would hate him if it weren't for the fact that he was a genuinely nice guy. All that and a nice guy too - was it even possible. Thus was phrase Paxton's Syndrome was framed for those perfect people who are also so nice that you can't hate them.

There's a girl named Megan who hangs out with da union. She has Paxton's Syndrome. She's seventeen years old turning eighteen in less than a month. She's in the Air cadets, already has her pilot's license, is a straight A student, has a pretty cool boyfriend and has been to more exotic places around the world in the last five years than I've been to in my life. Oh yeah, and she's indescribably adorable looking.

She's also friendly, fun to be around and a damn nice girl. Clearly an advanced case of the syndrome. It's not that I have a crush on her (she's not my type) it's just that I have a hard time feeling like I've accomplished anything in my life whenever she's around.
