About half the rant was about how "slutty" behavior shouldn't be morally objectionable. The other half was about how lots of things that have nothing to do with sex get connected to it negatively, but shouldn't. I agree with both of these points.
I think anyone can have sex for any reason they want, provided it's consensual and they're not breaking the rules of any preexisting relationship.
There's nothing wrong with liking or having sex, including lots of sex with different partners. Breaking trust is generally a bad thing, but you can do that in lots of ways that don't involve cheating sexually. I don't think slutty behavior is a de facto example of that.
Do I think people have sex for lots of what I would call "bad" reasons. Yeah, but it's not my business to decide which reasons are right and which are wrong. Hell, there's been times when I'd have happily gone into sex for self-acknowledged "wrong" reasons if the opportunity had presented itself to me. Sometimes the reasons for doing something are perfectly valid. And sometimes the reasons aren't but you do it anyway because you just don't want to be a saint 100% of the time.
