Anyone Missing a Phone?

I found a cell phone under the blankets on the couch this morning. It was wee-bit surreal because it looked just like mine (a Samsung R500 with the blue faceplate) and mine was on my desk.

Anyway, the number is 403-***-****. If it's yours, let me know.

--- late edit ---

The presence of recognizable numbers for "mommy" and "daddy" tipped me off to the owner's identity.

how to find the owner

Call either #611 or *611 (I can never remember)
It should bring you to customer service
Tell the rep you have found the phone, and based on where you found it your pretty sure you know the owner personally, and want to get it back to its owner
ask them to contact the owner and give the owner your name and phone number.
Most reps will do this for you. Some will even try to conference you with the person.

The only real problem would be somebody in my case who only has a cell phone...

Are there any contacts on the phone list you know? Could give them a call and see if it comes up on their called ID :)

You could also try calling yourself from the phone and see if the name comes up with the caller ID.

A cell will only come through with a number to a home phone, never a name unless it's programed into your phones address book already. It's a privacy thing with cell numbers.

You are correct.

I was hopping that since he found it in his couch it was possible that he had the ph# programed as one of his memory dial numbers. For example if I get a call from you it will show with your SCA name.

Depending on how many numbers programed in his cell phone it is much quicker than looking through the cell phone for the number.

It's Kirin's. Can you ask Bruce to bring it to work and I will grab it from him?
Thanks
