Would love to though what's this about a soak you keep mentioning? (remember I am still sort of, kind of, not really a tourist transplant from Edmonton)
There's two hot springs. The first is the original "cave and basin" hot springs. These are off-limits due to environmental issues (they're the only known habitat for an endangered species of snail - a couple frat boys broke in for a swim about ten years back and managed to wipe out 1/4 of the population of an entire species). You can still look at them though - they are interesting.
The other is hot springs pool that people go to soak in. It's basically a hotter-then-average swimming pool that's mostly regular water, but with a portion of the hot springs run off in it.
For those of us who can't fit into regular bath tubs, it's a treat.
