Battling Demons

Tomorrow morning I will argue my case against the Pointe of Screw condominium corporation. This will be before the Provincial Mediator rather than a Civil Court Judge.

On my side, my lawyer and the blinding sunshine of truth and justice.

On their side, more lawyers and the confidence that comes from being ruthless bastards.

Any reasonable person hearing my side of the story will surely take my side. Hopefully the mediator is a reasonable person. Wish me luck.

As I've since discovered, the mediator's job is not to take sides, but to help both sides come to an agreement. My mediators (there were two of them) were sufficiently good that the case has been settled and I have no idea who they thought was right.

It would be an interesting job, but not one I'd have the temperament for.
