Ten Things You Didn't Know About Me

  1. I'm a trained assassin for the Canadian Government. This isn't as hard as it might seem because we are Canadians. I can usually turn people around with a stern talking too and a "tsk tsk".
  2. I've been known to compel Michaela Conlin into making the most interesting chipmunk noises.
  3. The first person to climb Olympus Mons? That was me.
  4. I played drums for Steppenwolf during their 1990 world tour.
  5. My career as a porn star was cut tragically short after a fiction burn incident with Jenna Haze.
  6. I hold the world record for blowing the largest bubble of bubble-gum (1.3 meters in diameter).
  7. The World Etymology Council acknowledges that I invented the term "going postal" back in 1993.
  8. I was pen pals with Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
  9. During the 67th Academy Awards, I was a seat filler (i.e. I kept seats occupied when the star was away so that the their would be empty seats seen when the camera panned across the audience). I met George Peppard, Jessica Tandy, Peter Cushing, Donald Pleasence and Raul Julia!
  10. I wrote Starlost slash fiction under the pseudonym Lady Bird Cordwainer.
This was hard because I'm actually one of the most boring people in existence.
  1. I come from a long line of bullshitters and tall-tale-tellers. OK, maybe that's not such a secret.
  2. I stole a copy of The Star fleet Technical Manual (the original one, not a reprint) from The Olde Booke Shoppe (a used book store that used to exist in Cowtown forever, but finally went out of business a few years ago). I was 17 at the time. I still have it.
  3. I've been madly in love twice. Sadly, neither worked out.
  4. I was on my high school's junior football team. It was probably the last time I tried to be part of the in-crowd in my life.
  5. My picture was on the front page of the Calgary Sun during it's first week of publication (sometime in 1980). This was when I was in Junior High. I won a prize for solving word search puzzles. Someday I'm going to go down to the library and find it and make a copy.
  6. My great^n uncle was Louis Cyr, the world's strongest man.
  7. The last time I was lost was when I was a child. There have been times as an adult when I wasn't sure how to get from point A to point B, but I've always know where I was.
  8. I was prescribed Ritalin when I was a kid. After two weeks my Mom stopped giving it to me. Better to have a hyperactive son then a zombie, she said.
  9. I collect the 1973 RCMP Quarter - I have somewhere between 400 and 500 of them.
  10. I was named for an uncle Jim on both my father and mother's side of the family. To prevent confusion in names I was always Jamie or James. No, you can't call me Jamie.

:) I thought the first set was hilarious!

But you know, the second set is interesting too, even if it is true ;).

You obviously do not realize exactly how musty those moustaches smell after all these decades. . . .

>>You...you MONSTER! :D

Based on his number 3, should that not be OLYMPUS MONSter?

Besides, what else would you expect of those illegal aliens from Mars?

Come to think of it, putting one and three together, does that not make Q the Martian Manhunter?
