The vibe of LJ and FB are just different. LJ is like being an editorial columnist - sure, you might get complaints, but those are from the great unwashed. FB is more like high school. As you can well imagine, "like high school" is not a compliment from the likes of me.
I especially don't like the "first hit's free" mentality - If you want to try something you often have to sign away your sould or offer to bring someone else's in your stead. That I can't effectively snoop is also pissing me off.
I'm trying to give it the old college try though, so expect questions.
